Dear Mum – I have another interesting item of news this time: a parcel of food arrived from Denmark, and according to Uncle Alfred he is arranging for them to be sent regularly, which is very good of him indeed, isn’t it? They are very nice parcels, and a most welcome addition to the ordinary Red Cross issue. We have been having wonderful sunshine, and I’ve developed a terrific tan. I had some difficulty in sitting down last night! but was quite recovered to-day. Have had another letter from Joan – a January one, so evidently those I’ve lacked up till now are beginning to come through. I hope Hazel and family are well these days. Could you please greet for me both her and Aunts Alice and Hannah, if you’ve not already done so, Mum? I was very pleased indeed to have letters from them, and don’t want them to think otherwise because I can’t reply personally. It’s about time to wish Hazel M. many happy returns of October 30, too, I guess. Look after yourself, mother mine; love to you and to all from Arnold G.
