Dear Mum – quite a big batch of letters to hand already this month; several of yours, several of Joan’s, one from Hazel M. and one from Uncle Alfred and Aunt Elvina, as well as one from Aunt Alice. Please thank Maudie and Auntie very much for writing; was very pleased to hear from them. So you are a busy lady these days! Hope Hazel M’s. third effort at making an uncle out of me is safely over. Was very pleased with the photos in one of your letters; they travelled well. Your second parcel, sent in January, came this week also; first one should be here any day now. We had a wonderful chocolate feast; many, many thank-yous to the donor. Everything travelled well, thank you kindly. Hope you receive the snap I’m attaching; it’s of the N.Zedders in the camp a month or so ago. There were two copies, so I’m sending the other to Joan in the hope that at least one will turn up. Uncle Alfred says they are sending me parcels, which is very good of them. Glad you’re getting some letters; mine here are coming through quite well. Look after yourself, Mum; much love to yourself and all the folks from Arnold G.
